Rob Heaton (B.Sc. Pharm) Pharmacist and Owner
Michelle McDonagh – Front Store & Post Office Manager
Michelle McDonagh is the leader of the post office at Cambrian Pharmacy. She has been working at Cambrian for just over four months, yet comes to us with over twelve years experience, with both post office and management in her background. She has completed a variety of postal management training through Canada Post, as well as has a certificate in Basic Management Training.
Amanda Vines – Master Herbalist & Assistant Front Store Manager
Amanda Vines is our Master Herbalist at Cambrian Pharmacy. She received her Pre-Pharmacy Diploma, before focusing on alternative medicine, by obtaining her Master Herbalist title. With over eight years of experience in her field, and countless product and medicinal training, Amanda is the perfect fit in the complementary health section of our store. She has a strong passion for natural living, which is brought out in her interests of gardening, hiking, biking and camping.
Bailey Rose Yuce – Cosmetic Manager
Bailey Rose is a Skin Specialist and Makeup Artist. Bailey focuses on beauty from the inside out; recommending appropriate skincare regimes and products to address skin concerns. Bailey has a strong belief and passion in the overwhelming benefits of natural/organic health and beauty, with in depth knowledge of product ingredient composition and their function. Bailey has worked in the Cosmetics Industry since 2005 with top beauty retailers and as a freelance artist with experience in Bridal, Photography and Runway.
Dr. Stephanie Andrews, ND - Naturopathic Doctor
Born and raised in Calgary, Dr. Stephanie Andrews grew up with a great appreciation of the outdoors, healthy living, and service to the volunteer community in Calgary. She has contributed to the life experiences of young children in Canada, Nicaragua, the Middle East and Asia; the visually impaired; and foreign students studying abroad.
She received the Chancellor Club Scholarship to attend the University of Calgary to study biochemistry and minored in German. After graduating from the U of C she went on to study Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. While at CCNM, Dr. Andrews was involved in many service activities including the Botanical Society and therapeutic clowning with the Clown Care Unit. She also served as VP External for the Naturopathic Students’ Association.
Dr. Andrews has travelled and worked in a number of different countries and recognizes the influence that culture and society have on personal health behaviors, beliefs and practices. As the primary care naturopathic physician with Natural Doctors International in Nicaragua, Dr. Andrews often served as the only health care provider for patients. She worked with all patient populations and health conditions including pediatrics, infectious disease, acute illnesses, and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and arthritis. She also led the DIOSA program, a women’s health program aimed at empowering and educating women about their health, and increasing cervical cancer screening.
Dr. Andrews recognizes that health is not merely an absence of disease, but rather a dynamic process involving mind, body, spirit and community and works to educate her patients and the public about the tremendous power they have for their health and lives. She firmly believes that a person’s lifestyle is the greatest modifiable effecter of health. She cherishes the connections made with people while attending their health journeys and looks forward to creating more.
In addition to English, Dr. Andrews is conversant in Spanish, Turkish, French and German and is happy to offer assistance to individuals in these languages.
Dr. Sarah Berrett, ND - Naturopathic Doctor & Cosmetics
Dr. Berrett enjoys living, and promoting, a healthier lifestyle. She shows this through her passion of traveling, being outdoors, cooking, and participating in triathlons. Working in both the natural medicine and cosmetic areas of Cambrian Pharmacy, Dr. Berrett believes beauty is possible on the inside and out, in a healthier and natural way.
Dr. Sarah Barrett received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, at the University of Victoria, before shifting her focus to counseling. She recieved her Naturopathic Doctor title from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, which reflects her passion for natural health to treat the underlying causes of disease. She has extensive knowledge regarding mental health, geriatrics, pain management, counseling, dermatology and cosmetics. Dr. Berrett has additional education in Bowen Therapy, as well as IV certification through BINM.
DR. RYAN NAKAMA, ND - NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR
Dr. Nakama is passionate about re-connecting people with their health, allowing them to achieve their goals and realize the freedom to live the life they have always wanted - whether that be beating their best time, climbing a mountain or keeping up with their grandkids.
He enjoys working with men, women, and children in a family practice setting as well as athletes of all types seeking to optimize performance and overcome injuries; professionals looking to increase productivity and minimize sick days; and men looking for support and understanding regarding male specific health issues. In general, he works to remove obstacles to health, including pain, in order to help patients obtain, maintain, or regain the life they want to live.
Dr. Nakama believes that health is much more than just the absence of disease. It is what enables us to follow our dreams, live the life we desire, and enjoy what matters most. Healthy, active, and passionate people are the foundation of a strong community and serve as role models for the people around them. In helping people to achieve their goals he feels he is doing his small part in helping the world towards a better place.
Dr. Nakama received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge followed by his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. In addition to extensive knowledge in nutrition, botanicals, and acupuncture, Dr. Nakama also has additional training in prolotherapy, neuralprolotherapy, and IV therapy.

Erin Paul – Holistic Nutritionist
Cambrian’s Holistic Nutritionist, Erin Paul, received her RHN (Registered Holistic Nutritionist) title from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2011 with honours. Specializing in whole foods nutrition, as well as sensitivities to wheat and gluten, Erin is able to help anyone with their nutrition or dietary questions. Healthy living strategies for the aging generation, as well as preventative health are two other areas where Erin’s interests lie, making her a great member to have on our team.
Olga Dmytrisin (B.Sc. Pharm) - Certified Diabetes Educator & Pharmacist & INR Specialist & Certified Stocking Fitter
Working at Cambrian Pharmacy for seven years, Olga Dmytrisin has been a familiar face to many of us. With a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Olga has continued her education throughout her forty years of experience. She is a certified diabetes educator, as well as a compression stocking fitter. On top of those achievements, Olga is also BHRT consultant, and has a certificate for immunizations and injections.
Heather Walker (B.Sc. Pharm) - Pharmacist & Injection Specialist
Heather Walker graduated from the University of Alberta with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She continued learning, getting certified for Immunization and Injections, as well as becoming a BHRT consultant. With thirty-eight years of experience, Heather is an invaluable asset of the Cambrian Pharmacy Team. In her spare time, Heather enjoys reading as a part of a book club, skiing, as well as playing handbells. She also is a proud grandmother, and spends as much of her time playing with her grandkids.
Kathy Burniston (B.Sc. Pharm) - Pharmacist & Aseptic Compounding
Kathy has been working as a pharmacist for 24 years, 11 of those years at Cambrian Pharmacy. Focusing on pain management, Kathy is a valuable member of our team, working with patients to ensure their needs are met. She also specializes in sterile compounding, utilizing our on-site sterile compounding lab to create customized prescriptions for patients who have specific needs. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going hiking, gardening, and reading.
Diane Young - Pharmacy Technician & Compounding Specialist
Cambrian’s compounding specialist, Diane Young, has been working with our company for over seven years. She provides specific medication to each patient in Cambrian’s own compounding lab, and has over thirty years experience in the field. Diane has specialty training in pain management, as well as flavoring and pediatric medications. Currently, Diane is working towards becoming a Regulated Pharmacy Technician, a goal that she plans to have completed by the end of the year.
Jen Garland – Certified Pharmacy Technician
Jen Garland completed her licensing exam to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician at Norquest College. She has seven years experience, and has been working at Cambrian Pharmacy for over two years, specializing in compounding (including sterile compounding) and compression stocking fitting.
